Conferences
The beginning of the school year seems like the perfect time to make a commitment to learning.
For me, that means learning more about craft: plotting, pacing, voice, character development, and revision.
It also means learning from other writers: networking, swapping pages, and sharing stories (and plenty of laughter) to fuel the journey.
What conferences are you planning to attend in the coming months?
Here is where I'm headed:
September, 2014: Northern Ohio 12th Annual SCBWI Conference; Cleveland, Ohio
November, 2014: Western PA SCBWI 2014 Fall Conference; Pittsburgh, PA
I'm going to the Surrey International Writers' Conference in October (Surrey, BC, Canada). I LOVE that conference! So much learning, so many writer-friends. :D
